The Spongebob Squarepants Mushroom (Spongiforma squarepantsii) named after the cartoon character, was found growing on the ground in Lambir Hills National Park (Sarawak State, Malaysia), northern Borneo
The Bonaire banded box jelly is a colourful and venomous jellyfish found near the Dutch Caribbean island of Bonaire. Its scientific name, Tamoya ohboya, was chosen because of an assumption that anyone stung by the creature is likely to exclaim oh boy!
The sneezing monkey, Rhinopithecus strykeri, was found by scientists conducting a gibbon survey in the high mountains of Burma. The critically endangered snub-nosed monkey has a distinctive white beard and sneezes when it rains
Sazima’s tarantula is a striking, iridescent blue hairy spider from South America. Pterinopeima sazimai inhabits tabletop mountains in a remote part of eastern Brazil.

Life is gooood
All the goons have finished. Drunken garden times last night. Feeling fresh this morning. Got a place with the wildlife trust as ‘Youth Leader’ during their wild summer. Finished application for a year placement as an environmental educator in the New Forest, which I think I hope I have a pretty good chance getting. Summer is upon us in Cornwall, lots of beach times, cliff top walks, pasties on the pier, pints by the harbour and lazy days.

Using an old Hi-8 tape I found that my father filmed of me 20 years ago,I revisited the exact same site in Dorset,England and filmed the exact same scene but this time with me behind the camera.The combination of the 20 years old analogue footage with modern day digital footage combines the old with the new,bringing the past to the present.

The Olympic torch came to Falmouth and I saw it and I touched it and I had my photo taken with it! Then the band went through tesco and clashed in a woman’s ear who was minding her own business.
